I wonder, is this what the afterworld looks like? However, why was it so oddly bright here? I found myself inside a differently strange place when I fully opened my eyes. After committing suicide in my previous life, I came here into the body of Selena, who was a precious daughter of the Duke and also a greedy and wicked woman.

Selena was regarded as the successor of the Duke’s family. On the other hand, she grew resentment towards her half-brother as she wasn’t as talented as him. Eventually, she was imprisoned for causing lots of wicked acts and died miserably with no one besides. Her last wish was to have someone grieve for her death and I felt that my reason for being given life again was to fulfill her dream. This life to me was too much bothersome and I found no meaning for existence.

While I was getting ready for my second death, someone grabbed my arms and pulled me back. Lucas, the talented knight by Duke’s side stopped me from jumping down. After failing to commit suicide that day, my chance for the next became more difficult because of Lucas’s protection all the time. Despite recognizing a fact that Selena’s family, her father, her brother all had a real affection for her, I still had no desire to live in that perfect world.
